HIS is looking for people devoted to Christ and interested in providing a quality education for young people. Our school is considered a ministry-based environment where teachers are responsible to teach, love and minister to students while serving in a paid position.

HIS is a private Christian school belonging to the same educational foundation as Handong Global University. Our school shares a spacious campus with the HGU on a tranquil and pleasant ridge between Pohang, South Korea and the ocean. The campus is located about 30 minutes outside of Pohang.
Many of our students are Korean MK's whose parents serve in the mission field overseas.
The goal of education at HIS is to train students to show the God’s glory using their skills and education in everything they do. We seek to carry out all educational activities with a spirit of thankfulness to God and loving service to each other. English is extensively, but not exclusively. used as the official language for classroom instruction at our school.

Required
- Be a Christian, born again through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Hold at least a Bachelor's degree.
- Ideally, hold a teacher's certificate in secondary education.

Duties
- Five work days weekly (Mon-Fri, from 8:30-17:00)
- Provide classroom instruction and other services associated
- Consult with students and correct their behavior as needed
- Sponsor or supervise extra activities and programs
- Help develop curriculum as required

- Settlement allowance for first year, 300,000 won.
- Salary varies based on experiences and responsibilities. It estimates $30,000 per year.
- Supporting Airfare $1000 upon completion of each year
- Health insurance (50/50 split)
- National pension (refundable according to nationalities; US, Canada, etc.)(50/50 split)
